The 32 County Sovereignty Movement supports residents demand for safety and traffic calming measures to be put in place on Harbour View Road.
This week there was a protest held as outgoing Lord Mayor John Sheehan of Fianna Fail was unveiling a plaque at a new housing scheme area. The Protest was held to highlight the need for traffic calming measures on Harbour View Road on the North side of Cork City. 32CSM member and local resident John Doherty who attended the protest explained ‘The speed of the traffic on Harbour View Road has always been an issue, but in the last few months we have seen 2 serious accidents. The first accident saw a beautiful young girl lose her life. Something needs to be done before it happens again’.
We commend the community for coming together on this issue and urge anybody who can, to support future protests until the voice of the people is heard and changes are made! Beir Bua!
