Social Media Censorship
Once again Facebook have censored content relating to the commemoration of Volunteer Alan Ryan. Facebook have deemed the main oration read by Francis Mackey (found here ) as going against their so-called community guidelines on ‘Dangerous organisations and individuals’. The same reason was given for the removal of eight pictures, seven from the graveyard and one of Alan himself.
This is an all too common occurance that serves no purpose other than to hurt families and try criminalise the memory of Alan and others; The same happened recently with the commemoration of Volunteer Ronán MacLochlainn when posts and videos were removed by both Facebook and Youtube.
After several reviews receiving the same generic response, it is clear that a policy of censorship is in place regarding the 32csm remembering dead volunteers.
Facebook have stated our social media pages are now restricted and at risk of being unpublished. Serious questions need asked of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Youtube and other social media platforms as to why they allow content from most others to be posted, and in some cases monetised, yet the Sovereignty Movement are blocked at every opportunity.
Is it really about “community guidelines” or is there a more sinister element at play?
Below are the pictures deemed so violent and dangerous they had to be removed from Facebook.
