Belfast’s WolfeTone/McCracken cumann yesterday took part in a BDS Belfast organised direct action at sainsburys kennedy centre in the west of the city.
Post from Belfast 32csm social media:
Belfast 32csm attended a rally this evening at the Kennedy Centre organised by BDS Belfast.
Leaflets were distributed at the entrance of the shopping complex before those in attendance headed into Sainsbury's where shelves are stocked with Israeli goods.
While Israeli apartheid continues in Palestine we must boycott all Israeli goods, particularly now that the right wing zionist regime have placed a full blockade on food, water, electricity and fuel entering the besieged Gaza strip, an international war crime.
Sainsburys may be have the most Israeli goods in stock but is not the only shop in the Kennedy Centre selling them. We ask the management of the Kennedy Centre, liaise with all stores in your complex about boycotting Israeli goods.
We call on everyone to support the BDS movement, Boycott, Divest and Sanction Israel.
Workers in stores selling Israeli goods; refuse to stock them, refuse to handle them at tills, speak to your management and speak to your union that you are uncomfortable with these items.
BDS is the stepping stone to ending Israeli apartheid.
