Wreath Laying For Two IRA volunteers In Cork

Cork 32csm held a wreath laying ceremony today Saturday 7th December in memory of two IRA volunteers, Oglach Con Delaney and Oglach jeremiah Delaney.

Both volunteers along with their uncle William Dunlea, were ordered from their beds and marched out of their parents home at gunpoint by black and tans. They were then made to identify themselves and in doing so were instantly shot with rifles at point blank range. Jeremiah died instantly while Con died six days later. Their uncle William survived with two wounds. It is believed the murders were caried out in reprisal for a successful IRA ambush at the site of today's 'Collins barracks'.

We remember those brave volunteers of Ireland with pride.

Beir Bua!
